We are seeking for our international client a Category Manager – Generators & Turbines (m/f).
 
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTON:

• Company-wide steering of strategic and tactical sourcing activities for global categories
• Leading of procurement initiatives in the area of the global category steam/gas turbines and generators
• Contribute to the implementation of the new target operating model for procurement
• Further develop and implement category strategy and respective steering mechanisms
• Development, negotiation and implementation of global contracts which will be used for operational sourcing activities internationally
• Collaboration with technical co-leads and further relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the category strategy and approach
• Track and ensure achievement of forecasted cost reductions and productivity gains to contribute to savings targets
• Promote and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation
• Lead of category-focused analysis projects on innovative strategy and sourcing options (deep dives) and monitor successful implementation of deep dive ideas

 
ABOUT YOU - YOU HAVE:

• Detailed relevant procurement expertise regarding procurement strategies, technical understanding of the respective categories (turbines or generators) and relevant supplier market knowledge
• Comprehensive experience in the design and implementation of processes, structures, tools and methodologies of modern procurement organizations
• Experience with global high-value contracts, mitigation of risks in cooperation with legal entities
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
• Business fluency in English required, good German language skills would be an asset
