We are seeking for our international client an Inhouse Consultant BI (m/f).

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTON:

§  Working as central contact for BI project teams and IBS management as well as providing technology consulting to business units and functions

§  Responsibility for selecting the new global standard BI technologies to provide a best-fit BI system platform with focus on performance, flexibility, scalability and security and for life-cycle management of existing BI technologies

§  Defining and documenting technical requirements, related technical and functional standards and use cases for BI technologies

§  Securing coverage of complex strategic and operational business requirements in the BI technology components

§  Evaluation of operational concepts like cloud computing and hosting (Co-Location, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) as well as BI appliances

§  Consulting for BI and DWH optimization projects, i.e. performance tuning of ETL jobs and database queries

§  Assessment of latest BI market trends, innovations and industry best-practices regarding BI technologies

§  Pro-actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the BI system platform

ABOUT YOU - YOU HAVE:

§  A university degree in computer sciences or comparable disciplines, ideally with a focus on data warehouse and BI solutions

§  At least 6 years of experience in multiple BI technologies and data warehouse implementation in large scale enterprise scenarios

§  Long-term experience in design and implementation of large scale and complex BI solutions, ideally also BI appliances

§  Solid know-how and practical experience in at least 2 of the database technologies MS SQL Server, ORACLE, DB2, SAP HANA or Teradata

§  Knowledge about SAP ERP technology and modules of advantage

§  Excellent language skills in English is a must, German would be beneficial
